My concept of animation developed from seeing such films as Fantasia, by Walt Disney Studios. The pairing of music with bright colors and mythological themes excites the imagination. Creating such an imaginary world, where the impossible seems possible, the inspired animator has the opportunity for expression on many levels. My animated short, “Learning to Try”, won Best-in-Show at the West Valley College Film Festival and the Grand Festival Award in Animation at the Berkeley Video and Film Festival. I took Professor Chris Cryer 3D modeling and animation at West Valley College in Saratoga, Calif. The bee was modeled and rigged by Jeremy Rambis at West Valley College.
