Welcome to my website! Thank you for stopping by.
I am an artist, architect, and web developer. I built this website to share my portfolio and connect with others. My early life growing up in the Santa Cruz Mountains informed my organic style of drawing and approach to art, color, and light. I was fortunate to attend Popper-Keizer Elementary School, where curriculum was tailored to student needs and enriched by accelerated programs in mathematics, languages, religions, history, music, and visual arts. This early exposure to diverse subject-matter and global perspectives ignited my curiosity and lifelong love of learning.
Later on, I became an architect, studying at Cal Poly, SLO, and in Florence, Italy, at Cal State Firenze and the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze under the guidance of Marsha Steinberg. I also studied painting and drawing at Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA, with Ron Milhoan and Margitta Dietrick Welsh—two wonderful artists and mentors.
Animation has always seemed magical to me. I decided to study animation and found some excellent courses at West Valley College taught by Chris Cryer. In those classes I produced an animation short called Learning To Try. A few years later, I attended CCA in Oakland to learn traditional hand drawn animation techniques and character design.
Beyond visual arts and animation, I’m interested in web application development, user interface design, and more recently AI agent design. Over many years, I worked with an amazing team of faculty, designers, and software engineers to create interactive educational media and websites at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. I also love cats, and am an animal advocate volunteer with Mercy for Animals.
