Liferay portal administrator and front-end web developer in the Information Technology team (ITACS) at Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey CA. Website design and development using Liferay DXP 7.4, CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript, React, Bootstrap, Adobe CC. Created custom templates and structures using Apache Velocity and FreeMarker (Java template engines). Development of Asset Display Templates (ADT). Led Liferay training classes for NPS community. Created responsive, mobile-optimized, 508-compliant web pages. Utilized object-oriented programming (OOP) techniques to develop custom user experiences and templates. Analysis and generation of Google Analytics reports. Use of JIRA project tracking. Experience with creating AWS CloudFormation templates in YAML & JSON. Comptia Security + Certified. Mobile Web Developer, Naval Postgraduate School & Northrup Grumman (Contract with Advanced Onion, Inc.)

Designed and developed a mobile application version of an existing online Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) course, EO3404 Applied Digital Signal Processing, for use on the iPad and desktop/laptop computers. This app was developed using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and JQuery Mobile and is deployed to students as both a web app and as a stand-alone hybrid application for installation on mobile devices. This mobile version allows students to conveniently access their course textbook, video lectures, note-taking, and social networking all in a single touch-enabled interface. Particularly unique features are instructor led video quizzes, utilization of the device camera to include “outside” material such as handwritten notes and screenshots from other computers, and full integration with the Sakai LMS forum to allow student and teacher interactions in a social networking framework. Designed as a reusable template for transfer to other NPS courses.

Production and coordination of construction documents for modernization projects and additions to schools in Sunnyvale School District, responsible for over $14 million in construction cost. Project Manager and Contract Administrator for Restroom, HVAC and Power Upgrades at five school sites in Cambrian School District, San Jose, construction cost $5 million. Worked closely with clients, construction managers and contractors. Managed all aspects of the contract administration phase, including responding to RFIs, COs, submittals and payment requests.
